Diane Kordas, Romper Rhythm and Puppets produces quality theater performances that entertain and educate audiences. Diane’s puppet shows feature beautifully crafted stages and well designed gorgeous puppets. A live theater atmosphere is created that engages and invites appropriate audience participation, drawing them into the story. The stories are derived from children’s literature, folk tales, legend and myths from around the world. Curricular links include literature, science, storytelling, music, history, and the performing arts. Diane performs and provides workshops for many venues and events, including the Big E Eastern States Expo, Currier Museum, Puppet Showplace Theatre, Springfield Museums and Library, public and private schools, preschools and libraries for example.

Diane is also a musician, singer and songwriter. With her guitar, she presents a program of songs and puppet skits, without a puppet stage, for any venue that wants a variety program! The songs included in program are traditional and original selections from her own acclaimed “Dinosaur Stomp” CD and soon to be released, “Spinning Around the Sun” CD. The skits include her Dinosaur puppets, a limberjack puppet, magic drawing board, and a selection of seasonal puppets.

Workshops and residencies are designed to help children and adults develop creativity, enhance self esteem and discover the magic of puppetry and music. A variety of workshops are available for shadow, hand, and rod puppets and for different ages and skill levels. The recycled instrument workshop teaches participants how to make simple rhythm instruments by recycling plastic bottles and more!

Diane performs for birthday parties and other events. A puppet will present your child with a present at the show finale, and the birthday child may have his/her picture taken with the puppets at the end of the show. Several party formats and options are described on the birthday parties page.
